A Job

Since we closed the business at the end of the year, we have known about a job opportunity with a countertop fabricator in Omaha.  This is a fabricator that Sheldon contracted with that brought work into Iowa.  We are excited about this opportunity, but at the same time we have a family and bills to pay.  This opportunity will likely not happen for at least another month.

So while we wait for this fabricator to move into our area and officially offer the job, Sheldon has been blessed with a job as an installer for another countertop company.  It is a nice relief to know that he has a steady income in the meantime while we wait.

Sheldon is enjoying being the employee instead of the employer.  When things go wrong, when granite breaks, when people miscommunicate, etc., he is loving that it is not his problem and that it doesn't come out of his bank account.  There is something nice about someone else writing the paycheck:)

We are thankful for this job.  God always provides.  He also reminds us what 'sucess' really looks like.  He only cares about matters of the heart.

  1. God is so good! I love that He is providing a job "in the meantime" and I love that His ways are so much higher than our ways! Who knows what the future holds?! This job may be the future--who knows! I love that we can trust Him to know what is best for us and for His kingdom.
